ABOUT MAURICE "MOE" BROWN II

 TE/WR(6’4” 230 lbs.)

Maurice had a unique journey to Division 1 football and the Southeastern Conference. Yet for those who have seen him play, met him, or know him—he is a player to watch! Maurice is a young man of faith, hard work, and high performance. He’s highly intelligent, very skilled, well trained, and always ready. Maurice played Quarterback in youth ball since the age of 7 and led his team, the Bowie Bulldogs, to a Maryland State Championship Win in 2018 before entering high school. Maurice attended From the Heart Christian School from age 3 until 10th grade, playing football for Riverdale Baptist School and then he made the decision to transfer to Charles Herbert Flowers High School for a greater chance to play college football. He trusted the coach and switched positions from Quarterback to Tight End/Receiver for greater opportunities and it paid off! He had a great Senior season, leading his team to the playoffs.

 

Maurice is a top performing athlete and scholar. His size, control, speed, and athleticism is impressive. He is a versatile tight end that is often used in multiple capacities. He has the ability to beat defenders on routes, block, and turn screens into big gains. Maurice is elusive for his size and shows great athleticism on his film. He has good hands and is often shown catching over multiple defenders. Maurice had a great Senior season and has built an impressive resume through a semester at West Point Prep in which he gained additional strength and skills.  

 

On and off the field, Maurice has the character, conduct, and commitment that sets an example for his teammates, friends, family, and community. He is an honors student interested in engineering and animal science. Maurice traveled to Germany and India as a youth ambassador. He completed the Fire Science Cadet program and held youth leadership positions in his church. Maurice is well-rounded and focused on playing and winning.
